About Cordery - Root Branch 'n Twigs
Please sign in to see more.
This site was originally for our 'Cordery' family.
Do not be concerned that within some records the spelling of the 'Cordery' name has been different.
Many of the ancestors would have been illiterate so when registering events ,such as birth, marriage, death and census, could not say how the name should be spelled.
Thus, names were likely written phonetically by whoever was recording the event.
The subsequent transcription of original hand-written records is also open to error.
Amongst other things 'Cordery' has been mistakenly documented as:
'Caudery', Caudry', 'Caudrey', 'Cordroy', 'Cauderoy', 'Cawderay'
Over time, some families may well have, deliberately or inadvertently, adopted variant last names.
However, most recording errors will have had little impact beyond confusing novice family tree researchers.
For clarity and consistency within the tree, I have chosen to use the current spelling 'Cordery' for all.
Where possible, known instances of last name variations for an individual will be noted.

My thanks go to relatives both close and distant who have kindly shared their own family research and made the compilation of this tree a lot easier than it might otherwise have been. That said I still think I must have a screw loose to have embarked upon such a project.

Take your time & have a look around. I believe most of the information I have here is accurate, but it's possible that there are omissions or mistakes. If you happen to find any errors please e-mail me and I'll be happy to correct. Any pictures, stories or anything you think might be relevant then let me know!

Please sign the guestbook & leave a message for other family members to see...Hope you enjoy it!

Getting Around
There are several ways to browse the family tree. The Tree View graphically shows the relationship of selected person to their kin. The Family View shows the person you have selected in the center, with his/her photo on the left and notes on the right. Above are the father and mother and below are the children. The Ancestor Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph above and children below. On the right are the parents, grandparents and great-grandparents. The Descendant Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph and parents below. On the right are the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Do you know who your second cousins are? Try the Kinship Relationships Tool. Your site can generate various Reports for each name in your family tree. You can select a name from the list on the top-right menu bar.

In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list. Birthdays and Anniversaries of living persons are listed by month. Want to know how you are related to anybody ? Check out the Relationships tool.
